[pct-l] Snoqualmie Pass Mail Drop

We discovered that if you send the package (with the hikers' names) via
post office, then it goes to the post office in West Bend, and they
start bringing the package over to the Chevron station (acting as
temporary post office) the day the package is marked to be picked up.
We had a date of estimated arrival later than when Shane and Miriam
were actually arriving, so we discovered the package would not have
arrived when they were there. As soon as we heard from the hikers as
to when they actually planned to be at Snoqualmie Pass, we called the
North Bend P. O. and told them the exact day the hikers should be
arriving and the P. O. made sure the package was at the Chevron
station for them to pick up on that day. However, you do have to
pick it up between 10 am and noon, otherwise, it's sent back to the
post office! Then they send it out the next day, and the next, etc.,
until a hiker finally claims it.
The other way to send is by UPS right to the inn. That's the only way
to get it to the Inn, as far as I know.
Hope this helps.
