Since this isn't a commercial plug, I'll quote 'em:

Consumer Reports comparisons of Cutter Unscented with Cutter Advanced 
(July 05); and Cutter Unscented with Repel Lemon Eucalyptus (Aug 05):

Cutter Unscented 10% Deet $4.50:
aggressive mosquitos 2 - 3 hours, less aggressive type 8 hours, 
chemical smell, greasy feel, dissolves plastic, stains plastic, leather
Cutter  Advanced 7% picaridin, $5:
aggressive mosquitos 2 - 3 hours, less aggressive type 8 hours, no 
smell, no skin sensation, no effect on plastic or leather.
Repel Lemon Eucalyptus, $6:
aggressive mosquitos 4 - 7 hours, less aggressive type 12+,  lemony 
smell, slight skin tackiness, no effect on plastic, stains leather

couple days back a digest item mentioned Cutter Ultrathon didn't last 
long enough, and seemed to neutralize sunscreen to boot.

Max protection/max time still seems to be 100% Deet. I'll be on the 
trail for ten days, part of it on the PCT between Meiss Meadow and 
Granite Chief Wilderness. I plan to try two or three (if I can find the 
Lemon Eucalyptus quick) of these out on the Desolation Valley skeeters 
and see how they want a piece of me then!
