I apologize for my late correspondence to this topic but I was on the trail myself for a while (medical problems forced me off way to soon   :(

I ran across a young man named Nick above Lake Britton who said he left Mexico May 5th.  He talked about his adventure through the Sierra as though he knew what he was talking about. He also said there were a few guys ahead of him.

He is not a part of this group, for whatever that's worth.
