thank you, thank you. It was like losing my dog not getting to read the  
posting. My wife was ready to kick me out of the house. So was my dog

While I  was overseas I had a failure (tiny fire, actually) in my 
provider's cisco  equipment.  This also took out my UPS and my drive 
array.    Things are back up now and should be stable.    I anticipate 
one  more 5 minute outage over the weekend to put in the new  UPS.
