[pct-l] Kennedy Meadows

Just returned from 5 days at Kennedy Meadows.  There were about 25  hikers 
every night... although many of them were the same people, as no one was  
terribly anxious to bust into the High Sierra.  By Saturday about 8 or so  hikers 
had departed north, with at least twice that ready to go on Monday  morning.  
The trail register showed that around 20 had left prior to the  18th.  
 
Meadow Ed's 60th Birthday Party on Sunday afternoon was a marvelous  
affair... about 50-60 people were there, including some of Meadow Ed's long time  
friends from down south, the Saufleys, Squatch, a breeze through ( in car ) by  
Flyin Brian, and a host of hiker trash... my own humble self included.  
 
A grand time was had by all.
