For those of you who are considering hiking through extreme northern California, here are some reports from USFS Recreation officer Phil McNeal of the Scott River Ranger District.
In the Box Camp Trail around Marble Mountain Wilderness, the PCT is under snow 3 to 5' deep. (6-11-05)
In the Marble Valley area there are 4 to 6' snowdrifts. (6-7-05)
The PCT is under 6 to 8' of snowdrifts around Cliff Lake area. (6-7-05)
