[pct-l] What are SNOW Conditions Lassen Peak, CA to Crater Lake, OR?

I am planning a 3-4 week trip from Lassen Peak area
(Section N around HWY 36) to somewhere in Oregon
(Ashland or Crater Lake).

I would love to start next week, but am wondering what
the snow conditions are like in those sections. Does
anyone have any recommendations of where to start to
avoid excessive snow and bad trail conditions? 

Are there any thru hikers in that area yet?
