[pct-l] birds

I heard a bird all along the PCT - usually late afternoon- which I came to
call the "Squeaky wheel bird". sounded like a wheel squeaking at one place
on every slow revolution. Subsequent to being on the trail, I hear the sound
and saw the bird, it was a sparrow hawk sitting in a low bush surveying open
country.

But it sounds like it could have been Brett's Thrush, except their single
note is more like a large drop of water hitting something - "thunk". kind of
hollow. Thrushs are always my favorite, plus wrens - and I am hearing them
every morning now and much of the day as well.
