[pct-l] Wilderness Pass for PCT in Yosemite area

Here's the link I used to get my permit to hike out of Yosemite Valley on
the JMT. Halfway down the page you will see in the reservation area a link
to the available days left to get a reservation for each trail head.
Prudence and planning will pay off in getting a permit, about half are for
reservation. Also, about half of the permits are kept for impromptu hikers,
those that just show up to hike. Read through the page, and you will see
what options you will have for hiking on Labor Day. The trail out of T Mdws
to DPP is the Lyell Canyon trail on the list. Sobo is nice, and so is nobo.
You will have incredible scenery in either direction.

I'm just starting to plan a short trip on the PCT for Labor Day weekend.
I've heard I would need a wilderness pass to do the section of PCT in
Yosemite area from Tuolumne Meadows to Devils Postpile. Anyone know
which trail that is so I can see if the wilderness passes are already
full for that section? Also does anyone have a recommendation on (north
or south) direction to take this part of the trail in early September?

Thanks!
