Forgot to say in my previous msg that "Reno is your friend". From there you can 
get most anywhere, which is why my msg was focused on getting you to Reno.

OTOH, the CREST bus goes through Carson, Nevada, and Carson is closer to SLT 
than Reno, so that may be a better place to get off the bus than Reno. The bus 
even stops (by request only) in a little town of Gardnerville which is even 
closer to SLT than Carson. Dunno exactly how you'd get from either Carson or 
Gardnerville to SLT, however. People in Bishop might be able to give you a 
better idea.
