[pct-l] neo-flop strategy?

A little late, but may I suggest another non-traditional thru-hike
strategy for this frustrating year?

I've been telling an awful lot of people lately that, no, the PCT in OR
during the month of June is not too fun. But July- amply provided with
mosquito-thwarting paraphernalia- should be great. How 'bout this?

Hike the PCT as planned to Kennedy Meadows. (Yes, I know that Secs. B
thru D are a problem, but some have gotten past there already). Flop up
to Ashland around July 1. (May involve some time off). Hike north
experiencing fairly normal conditions, and finish what you missed after
getting to Canada. You could also pick up farther south than Ashland, as
far northern California is experiencing a fairly normal melt-out. So,
maybe flop from KM up to Chester or Old Station, so you'd have less to
finish after getting to Manning.

Just some ideas.
