A shameless plug follows:

FWIW,  without the PCTA there would be no formal lobbying group to advocate
for federal funding to pay for land acquisition, our US Forest Service Trail
Manager Tim Stone, volunteer supervision and training, maintenance, signage,
etc, etc, etc...  The PCTA is also beginning to explore land trusts to
accelerate land acquisition for the 300 linear miles of trail that are
currently unprotected and threatened by suburban sprawl.

Check out the PCTA at www.pcta.org , sign up, volunteer for trail work, and
donate (even if it's less than a million bucks!!!!)!
