The bridge at Downey Creek on the Suiattle River Road was wiped out in the
2003 floods. You will have to walk down the Suiattle River Road for approx 3
miles and make your way across the broken bridge. There might be some autos
parked there - possible rides to Darrington.

The Suiattle River Trail does not leave the PCT at Suiattle Pass, but near
the Suiattle River( 8 miles south of the pass on the pct), i.e. father
"south" than the official reroute connects to the PCT.

I mentioned in my post that the Downey Creek Bridge was out and had
estimated the mileage to account for that fact. The Forest service plans to
start rebuilding that bridge in August.

The Kennedy Hot Springs road is washed out and can only be driven for 1 and
half miles.

The Darrington RD trail crew is on the North Fork of the Sauk Trail that
connects to the PCT right now and that connection to the PCT should be open
soon.
