Although no official date has been set, the pass will
most likely be closed until the end of June. I
strongly advise you to change your departure date to
July 20 or later.  June 20 is ok if you are used to
post-holeing, know how to use an ice axe, and how to
navigate across snow fields.  You will enjoy your trip
much more if you leave in July or August.
