[pct-l] sleeping bag

I just got a Kelty redcloud 5000, and it has a
sleeping bag compartment.  I have a medium to large
mummy bag, and for the life of me, i can get it to fit
in the compartment.  A question: does everyone have
this problem, and simply compensate by buying a
smaller bag, or am i just doing it wrong?

Any thoughts would help
