[pct-l] flying with gear

I clean the stove and fuel bottle(s) out with very hot soapy
water and warm at 180F in OPEN oven for half an hour until you cannot even
smell the hint of any fuel.

The I pack ice axe, crampons, etc into a longish heavy cardboard box
and check it. The box gets dumnped. On return trip I have gone to
REI to get another heavy box gear usually is shipped to them
and someone there actually shipped it for me when I gave
them the extimated cash. (Just ask!! You might just get what
you asked for these days...everyone is aware of the PCT now
it seems!)..
