[pct-l] Switchback's Sandal Recommendation --- Again

I think my last post on sandals did not go through, a commie plot. So here
it is again.

My latest hiking sandal recommendation is the BiteTrail Low #3702. I use
Bite sandals for hiking and they are great. Wear a sock combination that works
for your foot. Also, do not forget to Gorilla glue in the SuperFeet or Shock
Doctor Ultra2 (REI.com #714708) insoles. And use the Spenco Gel Heel Cups
(REI.com #715539) over or under the insoles.

See the Bite sandal at www.biteshoes.com/outdoor/styles/3702a.htm.

If you use sandals for hiking, remember that each night you should use a good
foot cream on your feet after cleaning. Even with hiking socks, your feet
could dry out faster with sandals and you do not want your foot skin to start
cracking on an extended hike. Not good. Sandal hiking is a dream compared to
boots or even running shoes.

Remember to train with low top shoes or sandals. You should strengthen your
ankles and legs for sandal hiking. Don't go cold-turkey and just start sandal
hiking. If you are a thru-hiker, you might get away with just switching to
hiking sandals, since you are so strong in every category -- compared to me,
who is weak in every category and a wimp.
