[pct-l] thinking about a thru hike

i am considering a thru hike of the pct. i did a hike
of the AT in 2002 and really enjoyed it, and now know
that the advice of seasoned veterans can help alot. 
i'm really starting from scratch here- when do i make
the hike? in which direction? what is the water
situation? what special mountaineering equipment will
i need to take? etc.
