[pct-l] Trekking poles
I gave a ride last summer from Cascade Locks to REI in Portland and back to
a group of thru-hikers that included a young fellow named Pi whose pole tips
were shot. As I recall, he said they'd been gone for 1000 miles by then.
REI replaced them for him on the spot. I don't think they charged him for
it. If Pi is typical you might want to figure out how to replace the tips
yourself and bounce a set to about the half way point.

Subject: [pct-l] Trekking poles
For all trekking pole users who have thru-hiked the PCT:
Will the tips need replaced during a thru-hike? If so, what is the easiest
way to remove and replace them? Note: I have Black Diamond Contour poles.
Thanks!
Mark
