Hi there was some one just within the last couple of weeks that hiked down
from mission creek to the I-10. They said that they lost the trail in some
places and that the trail went through high flowing creeks in some places.
High up, above 6000' you will hit a lot of snow and probably Ice and that
trail can get quite narrow in places. Did it in summer and I would wait a
while to do that but maybe some one has better info. My grandson and I will
be going from hwy 18 to little bear springs this weekend and I think we will
be in deep stuff. -----snow------remember

We?d like to hike the PCT from I-10 up to Big Bear this weekend. Does
anyone know the current snow conditions? Can we hike through with care,
but no special snow gear?
Tom
