[BULK] - [pct-l] Personal locator device

One excuse: If you inadvertently set one off, you're billed for the
false SAR effort.

They work. They're not cheap (nor light or small). And in the event of a
true emergency, SAR still takes some time to get to you.
If you really want a life saving device, consider a sat phone.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they out on the trail
yet?
I'm thinking about letting a loved one get one for me - not my choice.
But, if they're insistent, what excuse can I give? I'm looking for
excuses.
Thanks,

Adam
