[pct-l] Best dates to start a thru-hike?

Hi,

During a normal snow year what's the best weekend to start a thru-hike?  I 
don't want to get to Kennedy Meadows too early or too late.  I plan on averaging 
about 17-18 miles a day with a couple days off.
