This was my first KO gathering. I wasn?t too sure what to expect: but when I 
left I was all smiles. The gathering feels like a ragtag bunch of PCT lovers 
who have gathered together to share their love for the PCT. Past, present, 
and future hikers are all represented and lots of stories are swapped and 
knowledge exchanged. It is a labor of love for all involved.

A lot has been said about Weathercarrots DVD, but I have just got to add my 
own two cents. His presentation Saturday night was the highlight for me. The 
first thing that struck me is how much time and creativity he put into it. 
The way the images are edited is cleaver and is visual poetry. Watching the 
DVD with hundreds of PCT lovers under a mystic full moon was exhilarating. 
The moon and wispy clouds overhead danced with the entrancing music in just 
the right beat; it was pure magic. When the presentation was done I loved 
the way a religious hush fell over the audience as we walked back to our 
camps in awe. I have a feeling that night will be remembered for years to 
come.
