Funny, I had a couple bad hours right in that area also last year.
It was a very hot day and in the few hours hiking after siesta I
was very weak and a bit nauseous but I felt it was that I hadn't had
enough
to eat. I had the same exact thing happen to me in 2002 climbing
Killington
Mt. on the AT. They were both "big days" and I just hadn't put enough
fuel in the body. Basically my blood sugar crashed and I bonked.
In both cases I just stopped, had something to eat (sugar/candy)
and felt much better afterward. I slowed down for the rest of the day.
I wonder if the symptoms of low-blood sugar are similar to Hypovolemic
hyponatremia?
