[pct-l] Ice Axe length.

Hello again, NaborJ,

I see that you are registered at the Kick-Off as an '05 hiker, and I am just
green with envy. Since you are apparently not very experienced in the use
of an ice axe I would normally suggest that you enroll, well ahead of time,
in a mountaineering course such as the one that Terri teaches, but there is
not much time left. Baring that, try to find someone on the trail who is
experienced, and have them show you the basics on the first gentle
snowpacked hill you that you find. Otherwise, the weight of that 10-20
ounce ice axe would be better invested in Snickers Bars.

You have discovered one of the best features of PCT-L: Sometimes the
answers to a simple question are not, in themselves, simple and they will
very likely disagree. You are unique, just like everyone else, and you get
to decide.

question without debating it.
