Mile 0.0 Campo windy, need the wind shirt within the first mile,
0.0-20.6 Water water every where. Creeks, springs and streams every mile.
No need to carry water.
26.4 Boulder Oaks campground closed till June 15th, water is still turned on
though.
32.4 Fred Canyon creek, lots of water.
43.0 Mt. Laguna, all the water faucets turned off. I'm sure they will be on
soon.
53.4 Kwaaymi Point, windy +30mph
63.5 Upper Chariot Canyon, 0.2 mile to good spring. Poison Oak!!! If you
don't think
poison oak likes water here is a good example for you.
77.6 San Felipe creek, runnig strong. Local water cache almost empty.
91.2 Pipe Gate, large water cache under some bushes 20+ gallons.
95.? I stop for a break then, Aaahhhh! Two ticks on my pack. I hate ticks.
101.4 Barrel spring, freshly cleaned out and running strong.
111.4-115 Agua Caliente Creek, running strong.
120.5 Lost Valley Spring, lots of water.
122.5-131.2 Fresh fire damage. No good place to camp. Wind gusting upto
50mph.
142.7 Dirt road, Large water cache.
151.3 Hwy 74, San Jacinto looks to have 3-4 feet of snow on south facing
slopes starting
at 6000 feet. Can you say snow shoes?.
