[pct-l] trail at Lake Silverwood from the water tower north about 3 miles

This has been an work intensive overload issue --- I know Pickaxe has tried to get permission now for two seasons to get a trail machine in there to make it passable. If you go down 138 (towards summit valley) there are signs for a reroute up to cleghorn ridge (2N47). I believe there also are signs on the trail before 138 marking the reroute.
I am afraid that there will be reroutes like that all over the southlands --- fire and water and trails just do not mix. I know of two areas in my section hikes this past month that are very BAD!........South of Splinters cabin in San Berdoo mts is bad and North of 138 from hiker town are both stock impassable and barely passable for fearless humans.

Yesterday I hiked on the PCT at Lake Silverwood (from the entrance to the pct which is even with the water tower), north about 3 miles. The trail is washed out for about 20 feet, and the only thing to grab on to would have been a blackened manzanita (not sure it would hold me and my pack).

I couldn't get through. I was thinking maybe a county road? anybody got any ideas?

Thanks,
