[pct-l] Maps of the Sierras./Food costs.

On average, I seemed to spend between $8 and $5 a day buying as I went. I ate a lot and suspect that people could get by with much less than that. I spent less initially, and more toward the end when I was packing away a lot of food.

There are no places that had really, really expensive supplies.

You can buy food at large super markets with ordinary prices in: Idyllwild, Big Bear City (and BB Lake City), Agua Dulce (Santa Clarita), Mojave, South Lake Tahoe, Chester, Mount Shasta City (hitch from Dunsmuir, although resupply in Dunsmuir is fine), Ashland, Sisters (hitch from MacKenzie Pass), Cascade Locks (or hitch to Hood River).
