[pct-l] VVR.... my final words
As a hiker, you should be aware that the trots are not always related to the
last meal that you ate. I got deathly ill with Montezuma's revenge just
after arriving at the Casa de Luna (which was on 5/30/03) and I swore that
it must have been from the Subway sandwich that I had eaten the day before
at the Hiker Heaven. It wasn't until I reached Mojave that I learned that
all of F troop had come down sick on exactly the same day that I did.
Looking back, I had hiked with F troop from Highway 2 all the way to Aqua
Dulce. I stayed a few days longer at Donna's than the rest of F troop
did...but we all must have picked up the bug from some common source waaaay
before Aqua dulce.
Did anybody else get sick at VVR with you ?? Or was yours an isolated case
?? Did you eat any snow prior to your visit to VVR ??
