I like all the super secret tricks.....
....here is another super secret trick I learned along the way:

Line your bear bag/food bag with 2 oven roaster bags (the kind used for 
roasting whole turkeys in the oven).
They are very good at locking in smells.  I have used this method for 
years and never get visited by bears.
