[pct-l] Oregon PCT in June

A beautiful section of the trail. Enjoy!

With the low snowpack, you may be OK going that early. However, we are
getting rain and snow right now. Normally there is still snow in Sisters (up
high) around July 4th, but you can get through. Be prepared for snow and
route finding since the trail may be covered in places. There may be bugs if
it gets warm - the biting type. No permits. Streams? Again, it depends on
the rain and snow melt. There could be some swift ones - watch out for the
Sandy around Mt. Hood.

You probably won't see many folks except on weekends; more around Mt. Hood
and Timberline Lodge (dodge the skiers).

Definitely try the high route over Three Fingered Jack in the Jefferson
Wilderness area.

Unless you are a purist, go down to the Gorge through Eagle Creek, either
from Indian Springs or Whatum Lake and then walk the bike trail to Cascade
Locks.
