[pct-l] tarps and stingers in So Cal

Our local weather said the storm that just arrived is supposed to bring 4 inches of rain to So. Cal. I just hope they're wrong.

I use a lightweight tent if there are mosquitoes around or it is raining.
Otherwise, I sleep without either a tent or a tarp. I have never had any
problem with "scorpions, spiders, or snakes" in the night. Mosquitoes are
generally the biggest problem in the wet areas of the Sierras. However, with
this year's heavy rainfall is SoCal........(I would still bet that it dries
out fairly early!)

up on the ground cloth issue. What about the bugs? More specificly,
scorpians, spiders, and snakes. Its the biting ones that Im concerned about.
Have anyone of you tarp users familiar with SoCal had any problems with
biting insects inside your sleeping bag in the morning? Is this a valid
concern or am I just bugging out about bugs?
