[pct-l] PCT Trail Damage

Mr. Loeb,

I have copied "Pickaxe" Pete Fish, who heads up and coordinates trail maintenance for the first 750 miles of the PCT (from the Mexican Border to Kennedy Meadows).  He is the absolute authority on this topic.

Can you be more specific as far as what area?  In general there are some
areas where
a few trees are down and where the trail is eroded pretty severely (mostly
in gullies), but
considering the amount of rain we have had this winter I consider the trail
in remarkably
good shape.  It is very passable.  Pete Fish, Don Bennett, and a host of
other trail
gorillas have been working overtime to get the trail in good shape for this
years thru-
