I have to second the sentiment that Tahoe does not have cheap food.
Casinos are famous for the cheap buffets, but Tahoe has never really
lived up to that image because cheap-skates do not go all the way to
Tahoe for a buffet and most of the people who go to Tahoe are there for
the beauty of the lake, and not to save money.
Having said that, any thru-hiker will easily be hongry enough to get
more than his/her fair share out of any buffet in Tahoe.
