Two years ago I carried a good pair of hiking capable Tevas and wore a pair
of trail runners on a short hike. I loved the combination and choice. I wore
the Tevas when I knew I would get wet and around camp. Some of the other
manufacturers of sandals seem to be getting the message and are making better,
lighter, tougher hiking capable sandals.
My feet these years seem to be more highly susceptible to abuse and having
this choice is a true luxury.
YMMV,
