[pct-l] trail libations revisited, was hosting
It's not quite trail themed but, I discovered Pyramid Hefewiezen while
hiking the PCT. It still transports me back to the trail every time I
drink that wonderful nectar. For that matter, I can't drink a Guinness
without thinking, "This is good but not as good as the one I had at the
Long Trail Inn."
Along the same lines, I find myself buying Big Ed's Super Saucers
whenever I stumble across them in a store, even in winter. I discovered
them in some freezer in northern CA and would seek them out in every
subsequent town. Eight years later, I still look for them. Tim's Cascade
Style Potato Chips have a similar effect on me.
None of these foods are particularly good for me but I eat them for the
instant memories almost as much as the taste.
Darn it, now I'm going to have to stop at the store on the way home
tonight...
