According to the NEW 2005 PCT Data Book, the east end of the Bridge of the Gods over the Columbia River is mile 2155.1.  Agua Dulce is mile 454.4.  The difference is 1700.7 miles.
 
The PCT goes around Mt. Hood about 50 miles before the Columbia River.
