[pct-l] Permits

I believe it's already been answered, but the PCT permit does not (yet, at least) include a fire permit. A search of their website and a read through of their info on "permits" says only "Local rules still apply, including fire and dog leashing requirements." There is no listing of the various local rules (not that it's the PCTA's responsibility to list them -- it's up to everyone to know the rules before they go out there).

It seems that the local policy along the entire PCT (all three states) as relates to alcohol and gas stoves is vague or non-existent at best. Info that important should be generally known and available, wouldn't you think?

Monty Tam posted the California fire permit info; but what AsABat was told at a local jurisdiction seems to contradict the date for the permit. No surprise there as the various NF jurisdictions run their programs independently. And, like AsABat said, the conditions can change and void permits.

Do Oregon and Washington have the same type of "one permit for the whole state" capabilities as well, I wonder.

I thought the PCTA permit they will issue thru their site, met all needs for permits. Help me out if I'm wrong.

Thanks.
