[pct-l] The inner me..............and thigh rash!
I asked this question about a year ago, and I got a number of similar
responses. Of the responses I got, I took two of the recommendations:
I adopted using spandex shorts, and when they failed, I began carrying
a stick of BodyGlide as well. It's a non-alcoholic, non-petroleum
product that does miracles in all kinds of ways. When even spandex
shorts weren't doing the trick, a little of this stuff stopped all
problems instantly. Unless I am mistaken, it was originally marketed
for marathon runner's nipples and armpits that apparently chafed, but
it also works for firebutt and blisters on your feet.
Great stuff, and I would never leave home without it at this point.

A far more pleasant, although more expensive, option is to hike using
spandex-like running shorts instead of underwear. They really do the
trick.
And, they would be acceptable to wear on their own when doing laundry
and such. I had never had this problem until last year sometime. At
the time I tried tape but it was painful on the leg hair and it fell
off easily. The running shorts are a permanent solution that is
really not painful at all.
Peace and Love,
Matt
