Some facts.
I checked some of the hotels near the Doubletree area. All on the internet. Tax needs to be added.
The following are a short walking distance from the Doubletree:
Residence Inn - Lloyd Center 1710 NE Multnomah $99
Holiday Inn - Convention Center $85
Shilo Inn - Convention Center $70-$80
Inn at the Convention Center - 420 NE Holladay - $70
Economy Lodge - Convention Center - 305 N Broadway - (503) 284-5181 - $55
The following are further away:
Economy Lodge - Hollywood - 3800 NE Sandy (503) 460-9000 - $60
(this one is quite a distance - 1 Max stop - definitely lower class )
Banfield Value Inn Motel - 1535 NE 37th (503) 280-1400 - $43-$52
(this one is quite a distance - 1 Max stop - definitely lower class )
Or - we have floor space, sofa, etc. One Max stop away. If interested, contact me off line.
Regarding Transportation System: cost will be about $1.70 a ride on bus or light rail; for Max, get ticket before boarding and validate before boarding; no cost in "Fare less Square" - Lloyd Center to Downtown (so if you take Max to downtown from Trailfest, don't buy a ticket)
Max - light rail (runs 10-30 minutes or less all day)
Red Line - airport to downtown to Beaverton (West) - goes right by Doubletree
Blue Line - East from Gresham to Downtown to Beaverton (West) - goes right by Doubletree
Yellow Line - North to Rose Garden arena to Downtown - does not go by Doubletree - but it is only 3 stops away on Red or Blue Line
I'm planning on going to the day events, but not the trips.
