[pct-l] A limerick

Now this is a good idea. Let me take a stab...

While planning my hike on the long PCT
I learned of a list full of great revere
>From those who have hiked on the trail before me.
I figured I'd join, and see what I could see.

The insights seemed pure and fresh and inspired
Talks about tents and tarps, or fires
Worries on if there was too much snow,
Or if the bears would eat all our roe(??)

Then there's those times when the list is befuddled
The subject is tense and the atmosphere muddled
All over the talk of Yogi's fine work
Of whether e-copies are better than books.

An interesting topic for the writers among us.
Crock full of ideas on good or bad business.
But it doesn't quite hit the mark for 'ol me.
A hiker just looking for some PCT history.

So I hope to see more of those stories of old.
Of the dog that was saved and the bear that was bold.
Of the need for an axe to chop steps in the ice,
Or the camp by the lake where the water's so nice.

For it's stories like these that help me feel good
Regarding my planning for water and food.
For a novice like me needs what help he can get,
Else he end up in trouble and full of regret.

With that I wish you all a good night.
