[pct-l] 2005 revision of "Yogi's PCT Handbook"

Scott,

Authors usually don't operate like you're suggesting.
Anything placed on the web becomes public domain, and
despite copyright laws this material will inevitably be
copied and distributed, altered and edited, perhaps even
re-tooled for illegal profit, thus making a mockery of the
rightful author's time, effort, attention to detail, and
above all their absolute right to turn a profit on art of
their own creation. A good book is built on an author's
experience and/or skill in the subject matter and style at
hand, and it creates that individual's literary reputation.
The internet may expand the readership, but would it help
one's reputation? Just picture all the cut & paste sites
that would crop up in the wake of an online guidebook, every
one of which would have outdated information within a year
or so and under the very best of intentions.

Read a book. Save an author. And leave the photocopying
machine to its own devices.
