Greetings to all. I just finished eating my first batch of burger jerky
I made following the instructions that were posted here several weeks
ago. Not wanting to invest in ten pounds of extra lean hamburger, I
scaled back the recipe to a one fifth of all ingredients, and using two
pounds of meat I made 19 (1/4cup size) pieces of burger jerky. It dried
on my dehydrator for nine hours. I did add one item of my own, a
teaspoon of red pepper just for some added kick. It turned out not bad
at all. Even my wife liked it and she's like Mikey, she hates
everything. So if you've been wondering about making it, go for it and
try it yourself, it will soon be a regular item in your snack bag.
