[pct-l] ski poles as trekking poles?



The rubber tips are designed for pavement, not for rocks.  So says the Leki 
documentation.

That said, I know people who use them off pavement.  I know people who've 
stopped using them on trails.  I've also picked up quite a few tips that 
have fallen off of poles as people have hiked.  I'll let you draw your own 
conclusions as to the usefullness.
