[pct-l] ski poles as trekking poles?
The rubber tips are designed for pavement, not for rocks. So says the Leki
documentation.
That said, I know people who use them off pavement. I know people who've
stopped using them on trails. I've also picked up quite a few tips that
have fallen off of poles as people have hiked. I'll let you draw your own
conclusions as to the usefullness.
YMMV,
Mara
