I ran into two black bears while day hiking from Tuolumne to Glen Aulin.I wasn't sure about approaching them until I noticed that both were
wearing trail running shoes, packing Aether60's and carrying Bear Canisters. I thought
"cool" and introduced myself. The bears weren't much on conversation, but
we did exchange names and agreed to have a few beers down the trail. From ECPG at peoplepc.com Fri Feb 11 17:02:27 2005

Our goats chased a bear out of camp at Tahoe last year. Well, chased may not
be the right word. They seemed really curious and headed toward the bear and
the bear thought those horned things were really weird. He wasn't going to
stick around to let himself be checked out.
