A note on snow in this section for Oilcan. I hiked it in October two or
three days after a good-sized storm in So Cal. First hit patchy snow around
Antsell Rock. Where the trail turns west after Andreas Canyon, snow covered
the trail to a depth of about two inches, making it hard to find in places,
especially where it gets a little rocky between Little Tahquitz Trail and
Tahquitz Peak trail. Luckily, two guys I'd passed earlier with GPS were
traveling SOBO, and I was able to follow their tracks. The snow disappeared
once I reached Tahquitz Peak Trail. For what it's worth.
