[pct-l] FOR SALE: Sony S2 radio, Pocketmail, and Go-lite Team pack

Hi there all.

I don't think that it's against the forum rules to
post for sale gear here, so I'm going to. (If it is,
I apologize - I don't read the posts very often.) I
finished my PCT thru-hike last September 29, and have
a couple of items that this years crop of thru-hikers
might want to buy used from me...

Sony AM/FM/TV/weather radio (Sports S2)

I bought it for $50 plus tax and used it from Ashland,
OR to the border. In great condition, and will sell
for $25. If you don't think you'll want music on the
trail, I didn't think so either, until I got to
Section O and realized I horribly, terribly,
desperately needed some. I listened to NPR, bad pop
music radio stations, the Olympics (with the TV
tuner), and Giants games at night...

Pocketmail Composer

I used this the entire trail, and I was extremely
happy that I had it. I kept in touch with friends and
family, communicated with hikers ahead and behind of
me, and wrote my journal in it. It worked flawlessly
on phones in three states, including the sat phone in
Stehekin!
I kept it lovingly protected in bubble wrap and a
ziplock, and it's in great condition - just minor
cosmetic scuffs. I paid over $100 for it with tax, and
would be happy to let it go for $50. Keep in mind that
you also have to get a subscription to the Pocketmail
service (I bought a six month one that covered my
whole hike and time before and after).

Go-Lite Team backpack - large/sun yellow

Only used for 10 days around Lake Tahoe - I bought an
Osprey pack for the PCT, but if like going lighter
than me, it's a great pack. Barely used and in perfect
condition, I'll even throw in a couple of narrow water
bottles that fit the side pockets well. It's
incredibly light and tough. I paid $120 plus tax, and
happy to send it to a good home for $70.

Anyway, if anyone's interested in any or all of this,
shoot me an email at david_tibor@yahoo.com. You pay
shipping...

Good luck to all the PCTers this year - remember that
there's lots of snow in the High Sierra this year!
(unlike last year)
