In spite of all the pondering, speculating, hoping, praying, guessing, and  
predicting about snow on this list, (the now famous) Bighummel's answer is the  
only one that makes sense to me. Start at Campo and trudge northward, maybe 
or  maybe not in snow at times; I personally have never thought flip-flopping 
to try  to second guess weather was very efficient.
