    I used the Makalu Pro for a 500 mile section this summer. I really liked it. It fit me well. My maximum load was in the mid 40's. This load fit and carried well.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Gregory Makalu Pro pack? I'll be using this for a section hike and will being carrying (including the weight of the pack itself and including food and water) between 25 and 35 pounds.

I know this pack is a little on the heavy side. I'd be interested in hearing whether it carries well (whether the extra weight is worth it, in other words) or any other comments people may have.
