[pct-l] Snow in Washington State

2005 may well be a southbounder's delight, if the trends continue.

Subject: [pct-l] Snow in Washington State

Here is what is happening at the Ski Areas around Seattle:
-----------
Warm rain has turned the snow to slush and paychecks into pink slips for
legions of powder junkies who work at Northwest ski areas.

The Summit at Snoqualmie and Stevens Pass are closed until more snow falls.
Crystal Mountain and Whistler Blackcomb are struggling to make the best of a
mediocre season. Restaurants, hotels and ski shops are all keeping fingers
crossed that the snow - and their business - returns quickly.
-----------
For their sake I hope they get some snow and at least a part of a season.
Would hate to be in a mountain shop full of merchandise right now. The old
days we had to have half of it sold by Christmas
